Meet Tinto: Part II
The next month was a jam-packed adventure with Tinto, hitchhiking across Colombia, in every mode of transportation you could imagine. We travelled about 20 hours in total in the car over a few days. We began by catching a ride with Oscar, an enthusiastic lover of Buñuelos with a constant smile on his face and a car jam-packed with bags of odds and ends.. Bob Marley blasts on the speakers the entire 3 hours…
Next, Tinto travelled with me in the trunk of a family of four, playing Backstreet Boys.
Tinto travelled with me in under the seat of commercial busses, in the luggage area of cargo busses and in the back of pickup trucks.
3 days Tinto and I spent hitchhiking, until finally we got to the town where we would begin our hike from.
Tinto never left my side, even when it was inconvenient. He slept with me in my tent when we were backpacking and was a perfectly smelly snuggle buddy.
Every time I jumped into a swimming hole, Tinto would bark twice and jump in with me.
Tinto and I were officially soulmates.
So what happened with Tinto?
Did I move to Colombia and live with him in the mountains forever?
Did I take Tinto back to the states with me?
The rest of the story only gets told on the hiking trails, or paddling in the the ocean. Book a Soulful Adventure to hear the rest of the story :)))
